The SecuGen Hamster IV is a USB optical fingerprint reader. It’s built for law enforcement, government, and enterprise identity verification. The Hamster IV captures fingerprint images at 508 DPI resolution and ships with a removable weighted stand for stable desktop use. It also meets FBI FIPS 201 (PIV) and Mobile ID FAP 10 image quality specifications. Sensor Technology and Capture Speed

On the compliance side, the Hamster IV conforms to INCITS 378, ISO/IEC 19794-2, and ISO/IEC 19794-4 fingerprint format standards. It also supports NIST MINEX and WSQ compression.
